The Company

A Central/Southeast European freight company with a sizable heavy‑duty fleet engaged us to build a custom web solution. They needed real‑time truck tracking, route planning and scheduling, load tracking, and driver management.

The Challenge

Following detailed analysis with stakeholders, we concluded an advanced web application was needed to reduce fuel costs, improve delivery times, and streamline fleet utilization via planning and scheduling features.

The Solution

We designed a system to provide organizational precision and simplify operations across departments (fleet, HR, sales, finance, operations).

We implemented a web application using a combination of:

  • HTML
  • CSS and JavaScript for the front‑end
  • Node.js pentru back-end

The application is fully responsive and optimized for performance on desktop and mobile.

The project took four months with a team of five engineers:

  • 2 backend engineers
  • 2 frontend engineers
  • 1 QA engineer

After four months, the client gained centralized control over operations. The application provides:

  • Fleet tracking and compliance (inspections, registrations, tolls, maintenance, tires)
  • Driver status and HR tracking (document validity, vacations, certifications, travel time)
  • CRM for clients and third‑party carriers, including blacklist management
  • Order management
  • Real‑time financial reporting (company, client, and vehicle level)

Results

We thoroughly tested the application and trained staff to ensure smooth adoption. Since launch, the company has seen significant gains in efficiency and productivity. Real‑time tracking reduced fuel costs and improved delivery times; planning features improved fleet utilization; and cross‑department collaboration accelerated response times and decision‑making.
